I wanted to paint this day but ended up rushed for time since the hike into the spot took me longer than expected. If I took too long, I wouldn’t be able to get a flick of my piece, and I really didn’t feel like taking the hike again to the spot the next day just for flicks, so when I got there, I just slapped on a fat cap on a can of silver and banged this out in maybe a half hour or so. Came out pretty cool for what it is. The thing about painting fast is that since you don’t have time to make a lot adjustments to your initial sketch, it forces you to just go with whatever pops out at the time and run with it. Could be bad, or could be good, leading you to some sort of innovation, or maybe a little of both.
