#41 Deep Cover

This was a real treat painting this spot. The concrete was raw and well aged. We did our best to do it up proper paying our respects to the surface by leaving as much raw concrete as possible and little to no background work. The wall was thirsty for paint and soaked up more paint than we were prepared for, but we eked out just enough to get the job done. Peace, until next time.

#40 Team Effort

Some homies from Lords and IDC were in town. We put up this one as a team effort with Timber putting up the sketch for all the letters to keep all the styles the same. Timber on the giant can character as well.

#35 Patchwork Fills

This one was fun, done on the second day of the Borderland Jam, I was just glad to be off the ladder and painting a perfect sized wall for my style set. I had some scrap cans I wanted to kill off, so I used them to do a harder edged patchwork fill, then tied it together with some smaller computer rock designs running  the length of the letters. The letters were freestylesd off the dome per usual. Arest rocked to my right and Izzy a couple pieces down.

#34 Chutes and Ladders

This was my first piece at the borderland Jam. I arrived to find that I was going to be up on a ladder. After whining and crying about it, I pulled up the old boot straps and went to work. I kept it real simple since I wasn’t trying to spend any more time on that ladder than I needed to. After completing the piece I put one of my B-Boy characters between Arest and Izzy. Pent TNR came through from AZ and rocked the piece on the top right.

This wall was put together by Arest who came up with the color scheme and lined up the wall with the event coordinators months prior to the event . Props go out to him for puttin in the work to make it all happen.

Much love goes out to our sponsors East2westconnect for providing the paint and  Wild Style Technicians for lacing us up with fresh gear.

#33 Throwback to a Bygone Era

I’ve been slacking on my updates lately, that’s probably cause I haven’t really done too much this past week, due to life and family situations and events..That’s OK though Family always comes first, as it should be. I’ll make up ground in the coming weeks no problem.

Anyways I was able to knock out this quick one and kill some scraps…Light Turquoise Rusto and Coral I wanted to see how that paint would lay down on some raw concrete…Not bad.

Not my best piece, but not my worst either. I left my 3D solid black in an attempt to capture the essence of that late 80’s early 90’s steez in the tradition of the DTK Crew who I learned so much from coming up as a young buck. I think it would have came off better with a curvier style. Anyways that was the plan, and after expending all my energy at Battlegrounds the day before, this was all the energy I could muster up..Small break should do me some good and let me re-group.

#32 I Killed Your Style Master

This one was done at the Battlegrounds event which I try to make it out to every year and represent at. I was trying to come up with some type of theme the night before, and came up with the Idea of the old Kung Fu Masters, since my crew and I are all old guys compared to most of the younger kids that come out to paint at this event.  I always try and do something dope that the younger kids will like, and put a good amount of time and effort into my piece.  This one came out pretty cool. The right character came out nice and easy, but not so much with the left one. It took me a while to get it to look good and I had to keep tweaking it.

WST members Arest and Izze also rocked some real dope pieces, Check out the flicks.

Also photos in action here were contributed by @sandiegostreetartofficial and @cameramangeorge give those two gents a follow.
