#32 I Killed Your Style Master

This one was done at the Battlegrounds event which I try to make it out to every year and represent at. I was trying to come up with some type of theme the night before, and came up with the Idea of the old Kung Fu Masters, since my crew and I are all old guys compared to most of the younger kids that come out to paint at this event.  I always try and do something dope that the younger kids will like, and put a good amount of time and effort into my piece.  This one came out pretty cool. The right character came out nice and easy, but not so much with the left one. It took me a while to get it to look good and I had to keep tweaking it.

WST members Arest and Izze also rocked some real dope pieces, Check out the flicks.

Also photos in action here were contributed by @sandiegostreetartofficial and @cameramangeorge give those two gents a follow.

#31 Who Stole the BBoy’s Hat?

This was a dope project that Style set up with a community clean up organization. This building has been abandoned for a long time so the organization set up a community clean up day to clean up the trash and beautify the walls. Thats where we came in. Me Izzy and Bizar got the long wall which was perfect for 3 pieces and some characters.  Angel once came through and rocked his trademark pink elephants. We collabed and I put a kangol and BBoy style hands on one of Angel’s elephants perched on the E of my piece.  We got done just in time as a storm rolled in late in the afternoon.

#30 Uncharted Territories

#30 was a treat, a recon mission, I brought just enough paint to drop a little something, just in case my search turned something up. I was in the area and had a hunch there might be something beyond the normal paths of travel.  Hiking through dense vegetation for over an hour following hobo trails, I was just about to turn around and call it a day. Something told me to to keep going and I ended up turning up a really nice untouched spot. More will be getting dropped here for sure.

I've named this new spot the WST Yard.

#28 Hand on the Pump

After #27 I drove down to the Blok and did this piece. I freeestyled the piece and then used a Sketch from Range FUA for the character. Range posted the sketch online, and when I saw it I wanted to try painting it. Back in high school in 88 there were these two twin kids from Bushwick/ Brooklyn NY who moved to San Diego. One of them wrote and had the naturally dope NYC handstyles and throw ups that I loved to look at, and also listen to them both tell stories about NYC, and “taxing” kids for their black books and paint. Both these dudes looked like the range character, with the high top fade and a part line. a couple of kids you didn’t want to mess with.   Anyways that’s the story of the character and how the sketch from range brought back some cool memories. I don’t think I really captured the flavor of the original sketch, but it came out OK..

#27 Style of Old

Thanks for checking in. This one was another one of Style and Zone’s morning sessions. Get up early even when you really don’t feel like it type mornings. Yea you know the feeling..We decided to bring buff paint this time to clean up the background, the cool thing about this spot is that its big and long and you can spread out. If you noticed lately I’ve been straying away from  a lot of curves in my style. I decided to switch it up and go with the curves and loops, turtle shell 3D and no designs inside the fill, just fades. The piece was freestyled off the head like pretty much all my pieces have been lately since I have no time to draw, only paint and go to work..repeat the cycle. Anyways I originally put a standard hole in the “O” and it looked boring so I covered it and put the face in there at the last minute. I think I was inspired by Pesa WST’s  “Dope” piece he did a few years back, which I’ll post a flick of here on my next update.

I have to give props to where props are due, this piece brings me back to the days of Charlie and  Dream (SMD) who were a big influence on me in my early days,  and of course the elements in this style that were brought to the west by Soon One.

Enjoy the flicks.

#26 keeping it moving

I stopped by this little place to rock a silver after work..Had maybe an hour and a half window before it got dark so I churned this guy out in about an hour, took my flicks and got outta there. Mosquito season is in full effect. Time to break out the Deep Woods Off.

#25 Chrome Depot

I met up with my partner Duel for a quick session the other day. Not too much to it we were just catching up and rockin some silvers per the normal program. It was late and getting dark, so we wrapped it up as quick as we could and got our flicks and we were out. I rocked a swirl on the top of my N, all props due to Soon One. Stay tuned for more collabs with Duel. hopefully we’ll have enough time for color burners for the next mission.

#24 The Twin Towers

Style and I rocked this early morning spot. We were done by 830 AM and on our way out.  A little small for two but we made it work. Mediocre piece in my opinion but the spot makes up for it. I was a little under the weather and glad to be finished. Check the photos. Enjoy.

#23 for Lord Style (Hidden L)

After I finished up the character on the Production with Arest150, I threw this one up for Style for his B-day the next day. While I was just starting the final outline, I get a call from Arest who left about 15 minutes earlier….Yo there’s some cops out in front of the building trying to figure out how get to to the tracks. This spot is not easy to get to, and takes miles of track walking, so I figured I had enough time to finish up, but I was constantly looking over my shoulder for the cops with everything packed up except the can I was working with..Somehow I didn’t cut the L out while outlining the piece like I should have  but it’s it there..I Finished up the piece and bounced and didn’t notice until Arest pointed it out when I texted him a flick…One of those Oh shit moments..
